Hey! Its been such a looonggg time already. Sorry I haven't been able to get myself to update more often. Now with more assignments coming in, I doubt I'll be able to update frequently. Anyway..........................I'VE GOT BAND 5!!!! hahahhaha yeahhhhh!!!! Never thought that I could actually get Band 5 for MUET. I was expecting a Band 4 since I messed up a bit of my essay part and the speaking test. Wow.....I survived MUET!! hahah xD

.I don't think I want to go through speaking test again....Really nerve-wrecking when you have to wait for your turn. Life's been pretty busy lately. So I'll have to keep this short.Just wish I can finish all my assignments and do a GOOD job too. I don't want to be just ok...I really wish I can go further and push myself even more.I really hope I can produce a good work for the coming assignment. Wish me luck!

The end of a journey...but a new battle begins

Just finished my last exam today. From now on, its bye bye to foundation/alpha year and welcome Beta year! It surprises me how quickly time passes by. Its been a year already since my first step to MMU and it has been a year crazy assignments, crazy lecturers, and super cool unifriends =)! One of the best thing that have ever happened to me here in MMU is meeting u guys. Semester 2 and semester 3 had been the most enjoyable time with u guys! Thank u all!

Having said that, a new beginning definitely awaits us in Beta year. I just hope we all pull through. All the best to u guys in whichever majoring you all decide to do...I'm kind of sad we are all going to be seperated somehow... =( I'm definitely going to miss our 'crap talk' at the foyer together!! hahaha xD Our crap talks are definitely EPIC! frm 2012 to going to other planet and so many other weird things!

I don't think I can ever be ready to face Beta year yet. I still have yet to make up my mind about my majoring. I'm gonna make use of this holidays to really think and reflect on what I wanna do.

My MUET experience...

Phew! Just finished my MUET speaking test yesterday. Overall it wasn't too bad I'd say, but I thought that I could have definitely done better.

One of the most important thing that I've realized is that during Task B(group discussion), please please try to get the opportunity to talk because there WILL be someone who keeps on talking and talking and talking....

Well, my morning began like this. Went there at 7.15, registered name and everything and the first group was picked and started at 8.00a.m. So the rest of us who were not selected had to wait in the quarantine room. Then, it was the 2nd groups turn at around 8.30. I was in group 2 along with my sister's friend. Once we were there, we were given time to look and read the questions and instructions for the following task a and task b. We were also given the opportunity to ask the invigilator about the topic/task given if we are not clear with it.

My topic was ways to cut down spending for family expenditures. I was candidate C and my point for task A is by repairing broken household items oursleves and maintenance. It's quite a crappy point if you ask me.... Others had points such as taking public transportation, recycling unwanted things and spending only on what is needed. Individual task was ok....i guess. I have a couple of moments where I'm stuck...I really hate the repairing point.....its a lousy point...

Moving on to Task B. We all agreed on the point 'spending only on what is needed'. There's this man....40 year old i think....he just kept on talking.... I find it very hard to actually cut in and say my points....damn... But I manage to talk like twice? I hope that is enough?? I really hope so! I want a Band 5 if possible.....if not, then I guess I'll just settle for Band 4... I really really hope I can get Band 5!!!

Apparently all you have to do is just come to class (doesn't even matter if you are late) and just sit your @$$ down... then you wait for the class to be over and you are done! Besides that, all you have to do give shitty comments to students during consultation, get totally confused with the project that you are supposed to guide the students with, be a little biased towards the some lucky students, twist your own words, backstab your own students, and you get paid at the end of the month! Wow...what an easy job. Fantastic.

Well, atleast that is the impression I get. I'm not saying all lecturers are like that though. There's only a handful of good lecturers in a sea of office-politically corrupted lecturers. I'm so sick and tired of all this. What is the point of doing your best when you know that it will not be appreaciated? What is the point of putting so much effort into a project that the lecturers themselves don't even seem to understand the whole objective of it? Its practically blind leading the blind.

There is probably so much that i still want to say and theres so much that I am feeling right now that it will be impossible to write it all here. All that i can say is I am very dissapointed with what has happened and it will probably continue to be so. I know there's not much point working so hard to get good grades because no matter what you do, its up to the lecturers and their 'mood'. So much for fairness. But I am a fool like that... I dont think I want to give up just yet... If i do, then there is no more meaning to what I have been doing all this while... doing and pursuing what i love the most. yes, i am a fool like that. and yes, i'm aware i am talking a whole lot of crap now...Lol. So i'll cut it short lol. to pursue what you love the most...or to want anything, there's always a price to pay. So if the price to pay is to face and overcome corrupted lecturers, so be it. I'll pay the price....I just hope its worth it.

I've been meaning to post this last friday....but somehow got caught up with assignments. Sorry its late. LOL. Anyway, participating in this Hot air balloon event is TOTALLY AWESOME!!!

I had a great time during the photo taking session! Only people with DSLR cameras are allowed to go into the compaound where you get to have the chance to get real upclose to the hot air balloons. The experience there was really good. LOL I felt great there! hhahaha made me feel a little special that I get to go near the hot air balloons when my sister can't because I'm the only one having the dslr! hahaha I LOVE YOU babe!! my precious D90! hahahah xD had lots of fun with my love there.... xD

It was pretty cloudy that day so the last two hot air balloons couldnt take off to the sky. Darth vader and LEvi's jeans. lol! sadly those two couldnt fly off. Anyway, time for pictures!! xD

Phew! Finally finished all my assignments!! yaay!! hahaha xD Putting that aside, what I want to share this week is my trip to Midvalley last Friday. There was a Alice in Wonderland exhibition thing there you see...and it was AWESOME!! but sadly I haven't had the chance to watch the movie itself yet...lol!

I should have posted this earlier but school work and project has hindered me much from doing so. Well anyway, I'VE FINALLY BOUGHT MY D90!! xD xD

Haha!! xD I'm thrilled! Even now, although it's been almost a week since I bought it. I haven't really been spending time with my babe but hopefully once all the projects and assignments are done, I'm gonna be with my D90 24/7 LOL haha xD

I bought my D90 for RM 4100...damn expensive....lol. Practically used up all my SPM bonus money and like 3 years worth of angpow money + savings. hahah my wallet feels SO light now... Lol. Its expensive but its an investment anyhow. I don't regret buying it in the least. For RM 4100, it comes together with the lens of course plus 4GB + tripod+ UV filter+ lcd screen protector + nikon ori bag. Oh, and its nikon malaysia warranty for 1 year though.

This is what I believe. SO PLEASE, refrain from bringing office politics into class!!!

Not like they'll listen anyway. Well, this is how it began. I had assessment last Wednesday and I had the most horrible luck that day. Mr. DOOM had to come in and interfere with the assessment....namely MY assessment. The moment Mr. DOOM opens his mouth, all the lecturers practically acted as if they have no minds of their own. None of them dared to say anything. Even the lecturer whom I have consulted with earlier and discusses with about my design had nothing to say to back me up. She acted as if she had never approved of my design in anyway before even though she was the one who told me to add this and that to my design. Why? Because Mr. DOOM doesn't like it.

Mr.DOOM....the big fish obviously...

Now, SO WHAT if he doesn't like it? It doesn't mean that all of you have to agree with him just because you don't want to step on his toes. Atleast SAY something. I'm not sulking or anything because my assessment didn't go well, but I'm just upset. And its not because or criticism. If it was constructive criticism, I'll gladly accept it, but this is a whole different thing!

It is frustrating, really. Having to listen and seek guidance from lecturers who are mere puppets of the higher person above them. Students are not going to improve if lecturers are to afraid to voice out their own opinions and by the end of the day, we get grades that do not really reflect our real work and potential, but instead the grades we get reflects what office politics in an educational institution can do to us.

This is definitely the MOST tiring Chinese New Year in my life! I have never once thought it was possible to visit like 5 houses in one day! But visit 5 houses was what we did. In a day. Not to mention that I haven't been sleeping for the past few days. This year's CNY is definitely bad timing for me as it coincides with projects and assignments. I've been drawing so many lamps this CNY... all because of Design class again.

So far semester 3 is alright... but I don't think the term 'alright' will last long. After CNY I bet there'll be LOADS of assignments!!! >_< Ah, and yes, after CNY have to start constructing the lamp for Design class. There goes my sleep again. But I guess it is expected for design/art students like us to not sleep. Even my uncle wished me no sleep lol! "I wish you no sleep so u can finish ur work!" LOL That's pretty much what he said. If only I was a vampire or something so i could go without sleep forever...lol!

Wow...its been a long time since i last updated. heheh sorry, I've been much too lazy lately.

I've just finished first week of semester 3. Semester 3 sure is full of surprises. Lecturer of DOOM surprisingly is not teaching this semester...I still can't make up my mind whether its a good thing or a bad thing. But one thing for sure is that Design class would definitely be more relaxing although it feels a little out of place with out Lecturer of DOOM's presence.

Next is computer graphics... I just pray he will teach us properly this semester although I know it would be impossible. haihz... I guess we all need to study and learn by ourselves again. This sem we also have Media Culture and there is like 3 lecturers for a change. I guess Media Culture wouldn't be as boring as i thought it would be.

It is only the first week and there is Design assignment already. I really need ideas right now!! I don't think I want to know how I'm going to survive this sem... 5 subjects....and so many assignments due to come later!! I don't think I can bear the thought of doing a 5000 words essay for Media Culture... @_@

Anyway, I'm hoping to get my camera soon!! I want my DSLR!! Here is the baby I want....
Nikon D90... I want this....but lets just hope I will be able to collect enough ang pow money to cover the price of this...hahah...D90 is way over my initial budget...hope can beg mummy to help pay a little..hahahah xD

First of all, Merry Christmas everyone!! hahah xD In 5 more days it is going to be the beginning of a brand new year! Have you made your new year resolutions yet? I'm still thinking what to add to my new year's resolution list.. xD

Well, today was a fun day! hhahaha xD Last minute shopping IS fun! hahah xD Manage to buy a couple of stuff for my cousin. 2 t-shirts and a pair of socks.
Yep. Its this kind of socks. I don't think she has this kind of socks before! hahahah xD I bought most of her presents around Bukit Bintang. Spent most of the day walking around Lot 10 and Sungai Wang.

My favourite part of today will be watching the snow event at Pavillion. haha this is my first time going to Pavillion. xD Pavillion is AWESOME. The Christmas deco there looks really grand and pretty. Well, the snow, wasnt really snow of course. Its just some bubble or soap or cotton. But I think all of the shoppers at Pavillion had a really good time there. Here is some photos I took.

It has been awhile since I updated. hahaha xD... have been too lazy this few days.
Well, assignments are pouring in again this week. Computer Graphics and Design Fundamental assignment. Oh, and english presentation. I hate presentations!!>_<

LOL. Today is a pretty interesting day. xD Interesting in a sense that out lecturer was trying to get us involved with some scam... yes.. SCAMS. @_@ She asked this weird guy to give us a talk and suddenly he was promoting some loyalty membership thing.... telling us that by joining this member thing we can save money dunno what... LOL! It totally freaked me out! hahah and then my friends and I just left... infront of the lecturer. Lol. Which was a good thing...incase that weird, suspicious Mr. Scam starts asking us to fill up some weird forms.haha xD I told my dad, and my dad was like " go and complain about the lecturer" "where can ask outside people and promote wan?!" lol!

Anyway, this week is going to be a real busy family week. Its like this: Thursday, do last minute shopping for my cousin's Christmas present. Friday, go my cousin's house and celebrate Christmas. Saturday, take my grandma go kai-kai( shopping xD) Sunday, go to my another grandma's house for prayers bcos its my grand dad's death anniversary. hahah pretty busy this week. haihz...plus there is like new assignments... I dont even know whether I have time to do them..

Mad Week...

This week has been a major pain. Just when you thought that things might settle down a little, the lecturers HAVE to bombard you with more assignments due on the SAME day. Really, sometimes I wonder if the lecturer finds joy in torturing us.

There is one more week left till design project submission and as usual, I am really short of time. Too many to do in such a short period. On top of that, there's computer graphics assignment and english assignment and presentation. All this is driving me nuts!

I'm sorry if I complain too much. LOL. I always complain about how there is not enough time, but that really is the truth. Its not because I procrastinate of do last minute work, its just that the workload is too much to be completed in just one week! I start work on the very day the task was given and work all my way through one week and there is still not enough time!!! I guess I have to admit that sometimes I am too much of a perfectionist, and this takes up more time.

Nostalgic feelings...

Its 3am in the morning and I'm munching on oat biscuits. xD There is still alot left to be done for design project and I should have it painted as soon as possible before Saturday.

I'm looking forward to Saturday as we'll be meeting up again! Last year we met up on the 27th November to watch Twillight and this year we are meeting up on the 28th to watch New Moon. Unfortunately not all of us can make it as some of them are overseas, but nevertheless I'm excited to meet the rest of them again. It has been so, so long.

Work has been keeping me too busy lately to realize that I have been in MMU for almost half a year already, and it does not feel like half a year at all!! Time passes by really fast. Everytime I think of how quickly time passes by, I get this nostalgic feeling. The feeling of missing school and how it feels like a dream to me now. All those precious and happy moments together with friends in school...I wish I could relive it again.

Sometimes I wake up in the morning and hope that I can still go back to school and see my friends there and hope that we never left school. I hoped that everything would be the same. Steph would meet me at the pondok together with Losh and then we would walk to class together. Upon reaching class, everyone would line up outside where Fatin would say "tim kay ar" to me. LOL!! took her so long to get over that comercial.. xD Then back in class, Mardhiah would always read those words on the whiteboard to me that i couldnt see, and Anees at the, back would kick my chair. Didi would be Anees' next victim and I just can't get enough of Didi's keychains... I miss you guys so much!

It has been a year already, but I still cannot get over the feeling of missing high school terribly. I used to call this Post Highschool Depression. lol. seems like I still havent been cured yet.

Well, this is what have been happening lately...more and more and MORE work piling up. Although DF submission date is extended, I can't really feel any happier about it. I do appreaciate the extra one week to finish up the project, but there is still so much to do! 12 scenes on A3 and 12 on the illustration board...that's like doing double work!

I really miss my sleep... guess I won't be having much of it this 2 weeks either..Feeling so damn tired... >_<

Seems like it it going to take YEARS to finish this assignment!!

Besides DF, I get the feeling that I am beginning to dislike CG more and more by the day... We are definitely going too fast. I mean, whats with the rush man?? Can't you just wait 5 minutes?? Do not get me wrong though. She is undeniably good in what she is doing and she knows her stuff, but like I said, whats the blardy rush?? We are not going anywhere...

She has to understand that we have limitations to how much our brain can absorb in one day. We are not experts. Not all of us are really familiar with the programme yet. Even if we are familiar with it, she still needs to slow down. God, is it so hard to just repeat some certain things because some students might not have catch up with you? Do you have to say no right out to the girl who ask you to kindly repeat it one more time?

Dreadful Wednesdays...

I dread Wednesdays. Wednesday = MORE homework + stress
Wednesdays always drain most brainpower from me. Design class requires thinking and creativity, while computer graphics class requires alertness and quick processing of information all the time. Computer graphics class pretty much runs as fast as bullet trains... >_<

DF project is driving me crazy as always. I have absolutely no idea what we are suppose to do. I think everyone is clueless to what the lecturer actually wants. I just hope I don't have to redo or anything like that. I really want to get over with this project as soon as possible. I have been missing so much on sleep last week and I bet I probably will have to skip out on having good sleep for the coming 3 weeks until the project is over. Until then, 4 hours of sleep daily is beginning to really wear me out. I don't know if I can keep this up much longer... but for the sake of completing DF project, I guess I still have to fight on...I hope all my efforts will pay off.

Busyness, Hopes and Dreams for the future...

This week and the following three weeks would be one of the most busiest and hectic and time of my life ever since entering FCM, MMU. Gotta finish up storyboard and project in less than 3 weeks!!

I do not think I will be able to update much for the rest of this month. There's just too much to be done is just a short period of time!! I don't think I will be getting much sleep for this whole month either. For now and the rest of this month, my bed time is: 4am-7am. No kidding.

I just wish I'll be able to complete everything ncely on time. Sleep is a luxury... especially for art students. You cannot even afford to get 5 hours of sleep with this much of workload. You are considered lucky if you can get away without having to stay up as long as 48 hours or even 72 hours!! Well, maybe it is just me... heh xD I do try to manage my time well, i don't procrastinate work and everything but somehow i still find myself lacking in time. I guess sometimes I am being too much of a perfectionist in my work.

Speaking of perfection, I had the greatest shock or rather I was awe-struck by one of my classmate's work. Her work was absolutely GODLY. NO KIDDING. Yesterday was really a great reminder to me that sometimes when you think you are good, you have to really think again. Because there are others out there that are AWESOME and they are simply a whole class above of you.

I am thankful for yesterday's little reminder. Looking at her work really did stirred up alot of emotions in me. I felt so awed. Never felt this amazed in my life. And it did stir up this feeling or strive in me to work even harder than before. It reminded me of my goal to climb up to the top to reach and be among those of my peers who are, in my opinion, already professional artists.

At present, there is still a long way for me to go before I reach those who are already at the top. But I will work my hardest and do my best to achieve what I want. The road is long and maybe it will take more than a year to reach them, but I will aim for it...slowly, but surely...one day I'll be there too...

I really don't get how my lecturer expects us to summarize a minimum 10 page long researh journal article...

She says it is possible... but seriously? NO. You can't just read the introduction, result and the conclusion of the journal and expect that there would be enough points to summarize the journal. You eventually end up reading the whole damn 10 page long journal.

To add salt to the wound, she wants us to summarize 3 journal papers... that means i would have to read and summarize 30 over pages of god-knows-what...and mind you, i don't even understand some of the words in written in the journal.

New Moon...

As a note of apology, I'll be posting about the upcoming film New Moon!!

Well, it has also been almost a year since Twillight was out on cinemas. Honestly, I have always preferred the book to the movie adaptation. I did not think that the first movie was as good as the book. In fact, Twillight felt a little flat even with the super hot actors and actresses.

The only thing that captured me in the first film was the scene where the Cullens played their own version of baseball. That was interesting to watch on screen. Other than that, I thought the movie could be alot better although the scenery where the movie was filmed was breathtaking.

I really hope that New Moon would be better than Twillight. hahah! I am not particularly keen on watching Jacob in New Moon though, as Jacob has never been one of my favourite characters... Nevertheless, New Moon would certainly be more interesting than Twillight with the appearance of the Volturis.

I can't wait for the day New Moon will be out as that means that I'll be meeting with all 9 of my friends again! hahaha some sort of funny reunion. All 9 of us watched Twillight together after SPM. I think we'll be having this sort of twillight reunion every year if twillight movies keep getting screened one after the other. xD

Guess I'll be keeping my fingers crossed and hope that all 9 of us will be free on the same day to watch New Moon!

Okay... where do I start...Hmm...
Ah, yes! I should start about the day that seperated us all from highschool. SPM.

Sometimes I wonder whether is it just me, or does everyone else realize that in just a few more days (3 more days to be exact) it will be exactly one year since we have sat for SPM (year 2008)? Are some of us too busy to even realize that it has already been one year since that eventful day pushed all of us into different directions?

Well, it sure doesn't feel like it was that long ago since we sat for the first paper. The anxiety, the fidgeting and last minute checking for IC and exam slip and good lucks right before we enter the school hall still remains pretty clear to me...

Yes, before you say anything, I am emo... Sorrylah for being emo ok? hahaha xD Just cannot help it sometimes. Letting go of highschool was the hardest thing for me to do because it was the BEST thing that has happened in my life. In just 5 years, Sriaman became my home and now it is no longer mine. Just let me be emo today yeah? hahah xD It is tiring to keep smiling everyday to everyone when what you are feeling inside sometimes is not as bright as the smile you wear on the outside.

University life is a challenge and it is not always as nice as the life I once had in highschool. Nevertheless, it has been fun thus far, if you count out the number of sleepless nights that I had to endure... >_< lol!

Still, the memories of high school comes flooding back to my mind every now and then. And each time, it makes me miss all of my friends that I have not been able to see since the day we collected our results. On top of that, there is this worrisome feeling that we might lose contact with each other one day, and all that is left are fragments of memories of what we once shared. =(

I just hope that everyone is doing well and my best wishes goes out to all my friends. I love you guys so much!! Miss you all!! sorry again for the emo post yeah? hahaha xD
